ACCESSIBILITY

The American and Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) is committed to making the Assembly accessible for all attendees. On your registration form, you will find an option to indicate ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), as well as any food allergies and dietary restrictions. You can also email assembly@aopanet.org.

Seating

AOPA will provide accessible meeting room seating with chairs at the front and back of the room removed to make space for mobility assistance devices.

Scooter/Wheelchair Services
Wheelchair and scooter rental services are available at both the Mandalay Bay and W Hotel by the bell desk. They can also be ordered in advance here: https://www.scooterbug.com/lasvegas/

Sleeping Rooms
Accessible sleeping rooms can be requested from the conference hotel when making your reservation.

Dietary Restrictions
Any food allergies and dietary restrictions can be indicated on the registration form. We ask all venues to label the foods with ingredients.

Presentations
Consider making your presentation more accessible. Ways to do this include using large fonts on your slides with a sans serif font; using high contrast, easy-to-read color schemes on the slides; captioning any videos; and providing alt text for images. Microsoft PowerPoint has an Accessibility Checker feature to ensure your presentation is accessible.
